Spring is in the air and we've been getting warmer weather. This particular part of the year is my favorite because the grass is starting to grow but we still have some snow in the foothills.
When I took Tessa to the park today I didn't want to leave. It was cool, but not too cold, and there was what can only be described as a "cool & clean" wind from the North.
When nightfall came a particular treat of the season emerged: the frogs. We have a creek behind the house that will eventually have some frogs in it. This early in the season though the frogs are more upstream and in the marshy areas to the Northeast along the base of the foothills. Their songs reach us directly and also echo against the foothills and back at us.
It is one of my favorite sounds here in Boise.
