Happy Birthday....to me

I officially turn 41 today.  Technically I turn 41 at 4:49 PM Central Standard Time, but close enough.

The last few years I've been fortunate enough to spend my birthday surrounded by friends because the Origins Game Fair has been at the end of June.

A friend of mine, who happens to be in AA, gives out books to members of his home group on his AA birthday.  I like that idea, so I've decided that I'd like to take that as something I do.  Now I'm not in AA and therefore don't have a home group, so while I'm obviously modifying that tradition to suit my own needs I'll just make some more changes.  Generally speaking I plan on picking a friend and sharing something with them.

Last year I made a batch of "special" booze and gave everyone who joined us at the Bar on 2.  My friend Jolly Blackburn made me a cool graphic to put on the flasks.

This year I kind of repaid the favor and chose to send Jolly a gift of some of the resin gaming terrain pieces I painted a couple weeks ago.

Next year I'll have to come up with something a bit cooler.
